Read What Owners Email Us About the New Unit Renovations

Dear Jim: I believe that I had talked to you by phone in January when I heard of the special assessments. It took me by surprise and I have to say that I wasn't very happy about it. But after talking to you on the phone I began to see the other side of the coin. But, As I told you than that a smaller amount over maybe five years would have fit my pocket book a little better. But NOW after I have just come back from my vacation at Foxhunt And having seen a remodeled unit - I must admit that I can't wait until my unit is done. And I hope and pray that all the units can be completed in two years. It will be a real treat if next year I walk into a remodeled unit when I come back. I know that it won't be easy getting them all done. And you will have to be very creative how you go about getting them all done I'm sure. But please put the pedal to the medal. I know that you have the ship on course and I am on board with you now all the way. _______________________________________________________ Thank you very much for replying to my E-Mail. I am encouraged that someone cares enough to reply, and to reply on your vacation shows that you do care. I understand that there are major employment problems. I hope that you will be able to over come these problems. It just takes someone who is concerned. Thank you ________________________________________________________ Dear Jim, First let me tell you I enjoyed talking with you last week and appreciate the information you gave me. To follow up I have been in touch with Fairfield (Wyndham) regarding the status of our assessment. With regards to the due date of the end of August which I requested as per our conversation, I was informed that they had already paid the assessment for me and therefore it was due as stated on June 17. My comment to them was that it made no difference to me when they paid the assessment it was not due until the end of August and that was the date I considered correct. I was given no satisfactory answer to this comment. Regarding the breakdown of three payments, I was told that fixed week owners were allowed to pay assessments on a payment plan whereas those of us owning points were not. This to me is discrimination. They have no reason for this, "its just in the rules". After spending two days trying to get in touch with financial services at Fairfield I finally unearthed a general phone number which after complaining about no one returning calls finally got me connected to "Wendy" in financial services. I explained the situation to her and she agreed that I could pay in three equal payments, the last of which would be due in August. Later that day my brother-in-law called to confirm the same terms for his assessment and was told absolutely no break down in payments. I called back to confirm what had been told to me and was told that was incorrect and I still had a due date of June 17. I am writing Wyndham my experiences and hopefully they will begin to get some coordination in their organization. We am really not concerned about the terms for myself but feel it should be taken care of for others who may want to pay in installments. As I mentioned to you, we are unable to use our points so I have converted them to cash to be put on our account. For you information this is done by contacting the Ambassador Club @ 1-800-251-8736, option 3, then option 2. Make a request to pay maintenance fees with points (to receive full conversion rate this must be done before the 30th of June). After the conversion is done you will be transferred to financial services to complete the transaction. At the time they tell you how many months will be paid you request that the money be applied to any balance on your account before applying to maintenance fees. By some rare coincidence, about 3 days after my calls to Wyndham we received a call from them saying they were aware that there were many unhappy owners and we were being offered a three day two night expense paid vacation in the Smokey's at which time 12 owners will be offered the opportunity to voice our complaints and hopefully get some satisfactory answers. We are taking them up on it, since it is practically in our backyard, but we don't believe this is the purpose of the offer. _____________________________________________________ Dear Jim, I saw the newly added pix of the living room - and just wanted to again - thank you for doing such a magnificent job. The colors and materials, etc. - are just so elegant and yet homey. Thank goodness you picked a great decorator - (since I remember being shocked one year - the place was furnished in aquas or blue etc. with a pink-ish carpet - and it looked more like "Miami Beach" - than a beautiful, elegant, Mountain retreat. You all - really did a superb job - The unit looks so elegant and inviting - and still has the warmth of the mountains We received the information I requested yesterday, thank you very much. I haven't had a chance to go over it yet but hope to in the next few days. Thank you for your time and help. Will write any comments, questions or suggestions after studying the information I just received. _______________________________________________________ Hi Jim: Thank you very much for taking the time to call me and discuss the Foxhunt issue. We can understand the special assessment although we are disturbed by the action of the previous board, but how encouraged by the progress of the current board. Looked at the upgrading on the web site and it looks great. Certainly an improvement over what was there. Thank you for what you are doing. Will try and get more involved as an owner.
